FOSS COTTAGE and SEA ROCKET BARN COTTAGE
REQUIREMENTS

Please note that these are family cottages which are let during the weeks that we are not using them, so that other families can enjoy the very special facilities of East Prawle

NB: Recycling has made rubbish collection very complicated - please be sure to read carefully the instructions which you will find in the cottage that you rent

1. RUBBISH
IMPORTANT: The dustmen come on Tuesday mornings. The recycling has become more complicated. One week collection is for compost (the green wheely bin) and recycling (blue and clear plastic bags), the following week is for all other rubbish (the black wheely bin).

Please check the list in the kitchens to see which collections are on which day, and what qualifies as compost (all foods) and recycle. Bottles need to be taken to the bottle bank just outside East Prawle - the dustbin men do not collect these.

Please never put unwrapped rubbish in the black wheely bin.

Foss: Please take the bins to the wall just beyond Carne Rock (pink cottage) in the lane.

2. PARKING
Foss: The neighbours object very strongly to any form of turning or parking in their garden. There is room to turn a single car in Foss garden but if you have more than one you will have to back out. If you can't do this, it is necessary to park on the green.

Sea Rocket Barn Cottage: Although you can park to unload cars, please make sure to park on the green - there is plenty of space.

3. FRIDGES
Please make sure that the fridges are emptied of all foods on your departure.

4. FOSS GARDEN FENCES
It is forbidden to climb over any of the garden fences. We have had a long legal dispute with the local farmer, resulting in an agreement not to trespass on his land.

5. BEDS
Linen is not provided
but the cleaners have a system whereby they provide and wash linen and even make the beds if you contact and arrange what you want, including payment, directly with them.Their email is: gfwatson@candg-cleaning.com, t
elephone: 01548 559 359, mobile: 07834 872641. Otherwise you need to bring your own. Always use under-sheets and pillowcases even if you have sleeping bags.
If you move beds around please put them back where they were before leaving.

6. FOSS MISCELLANEOUS
Cooker: This is a non-stick cooker - instructions for cleaning are beside it. Please use the special cleaning materials provided.

Meter: Please always leave 2 or 3 pound coins in the electricity meter for the next arrival.

7. Logs and coal. The same cleaners, Gary and Clare, will lay in logs and coal if you like, and you pay them directly. Otherwise they are usually available in the village shop or Charleton Garage - Ashby's Easy Stores which is a treasure trove.

8. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrivals: We cannot make the cottages available before 3 pm.
Departures: The cottages MUST be vacated by 10 am. Please leave the cottages clean and tidy.
